Drinking water consumption reduction notice to users of the water system

Due to work to repair a leak at the water treatment plant, a water consumption reduction notice is currently in effect until Friday for all users of the system.
Here are some examples of actions that can reduce your consumption of drinking water:
  • Shorten the duration of showers
  • Decrease the water level when filling the bathtub
  • Decrease the water level in your washer's tank when you do the laundry
An update will be made on the website when the network is back to normal.

Temporary water interruption

Please note that short-term spontaneous interruptions (5-6 minutes) are currently in effect on the water system.
The Municipality is currently working on the network to restore everything to normal as soon as possible.
No boil water advisories are in effect. Water can be safely consumed.
We thank you for your cooperation.

Welcome Return of a Nurse to the CLSC of Chelsea

The Minister of Health and Social Services of Quebec, Danielle McCann, announced, at a press conference held this afternoon, the return of a nurse to the CLSC of Chelsea and the addition of an administrative assistant position.

Last fall, the results of a survey, confirmed by CISSSO data, revealed that hundreds of Chelsea residents had to travel more than a thousand times to other CLSCs in the Collines-de-l'Outaouais region since the abolition of the nurse position at the Chelsea CLSC in 2013.
