Notice for residents – alarm system connected to 9-1-1

Many residents of Chelsea have a fire alarm system connected to a call center. When triggering your fire alarm system, since January 1st, 2018, your alarm company must contact the 9-1-1 Dispatch office of the MRC des Collines-de-l'Outaouais at the following number:


Please inform your alarm company promptly to avoid any delays.

The By-Law 06-RM-01-2 regulates the installation and operation of alarm systems.

A permit is required for the installation and operation of an alarm system.  The permit is free of charge.

Since January 2013, the MRC Police is managing the alarm permits.
