Open house at the Fire Station

A day not to be missed!

In celebration of Chelsea's 150th anniversary, the Municipality of Chelsea Fire Department invites residents to an open house at the main fire station.

Please note that the event will take place rain or shine.

This initiative aligns with International Firefighters' Day and Civil Protection Week.

DAY'S EVENTS

Residents and their families are invited to take part in a rally in the center village. Eight questions to be solved will be set at various public and municipal locations. The purpose is to deepen your knowledge of civil and fire safety.

At the end of the day, gift cards from local businesses will be drawn as prizes!

We encourage all participants to travel on foot or by bicycle.

 

How to participate: Participants begin the journey at Fire Station 1, located at 7 Chemin de l'Hôtel de Ville, to receive the question-and-answer sheet, and must return before 2 p.m. with the completed sheet at the fire station.

Hours: 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Age group: 4 and up

Languages: Question posters are in French only.

 

A BBQ benefiting Baseball Chelsea will be held at the fire hall.

 

Hours: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: Fire station 1 (7 Chemin de l'Hôtel de Ville)

Discover the Municipality of Chelsea's Fire Hall. Firefighters will be on site all day to give tours and demonstrate the equipment used and the various fire trucks.

There will be information booths on civil security and fire prevention featuring representatives from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, la Sûreté du Québec, la Sécurité publique de la MRC des Collines de l'Outaouais and Héma-Québec.

Don't miss live cooking fire extinguishing and extrication demonstrations by the fire safety team.

A short ceremony will be held at the fire station to honor former Chelsea Fire Department firefighters who have served for over 10 years. A commemorative plaque will be unveiled inside the fire station. The public is invited to attend!
