Chelsea launches 150th celebrations with the Winter Fun Day event!

In celebration of the Municipality of Chelsea's 150th anniversary, the Recreation Department is pleased to announce the program for its first event of the year: Winter Fun Day.
On February 23rd, 2025, Chelsea residents are invited to participate in a variety of winter activities organized throughout the municipality. This year, activities include the cross-country ski challenge on the Voie Verte Chelsea, family activities in community parks, and a folk-dance workshop. All activities are free and open to all residents of Chelsea!
Program overview
Cross-country skiing on the Voie Verte Chelsea: A cross-country skiing challenge to complete the entire Voie Verte Chelsea (20.5 km). Kiosks set up by community organizations will be located at six locations along the trail to offer refreshments and baked goods. A coupon will be handed out at each kiosk for a chance to win a participation prize.
- Ski to school organisation will be lending ski equipment free of charge.
- Transcollines will offer a free shuttle service between the various trail access points.
Family activities at the Farm Point Community Park: There will be giant games, sledding area, access to the outdoor skating rink, canteen, music and much more!
Folk-dance workshop: Folklore Outaouais organisation will be offering a dance workshop on traditional dances of yesteryear. Registration is mandatory, as places are limited.
Sledding in Hollow Glen: A fun morning for the whole family at the Hollow Glen Community Park. Complimentary snacks and refreshments will be served inside the community center.
