Electoral redistribution: Chelsea slightly modifies district boundaries

The municipal general election will be held on November 2, 2025. To ensure a better distribution of electors, the Municipality would like to remind you that Municipal Council adopted By-law 1294-24 concerning the division of the Municipality into six electoral districts at a special meeting held on May 28, 2024.

The objective was to update the number of electors per district to meet the requirements of the Loi sur les élections et les référendums dans les municipalités. Each electoral district must be delimited in such a way that the number of electors in that district is neither more nor less than 15% or 25%, as the case may be, of the quotient obtained by dividing the total number of electors in the municipality by the number of districts, unless approved by the Commission de la représentation électorale. This redrawing of the territory has been in effect since October 31, 2024.
