The Municipality signs an agreement with its firefighters

The Municipality of Chelsea and its Fire Department are proud to announce the signing of a five-year working agreement with the Chelsea Firefighters Association.

The Municipality would like to thank all the members of the bargaining committee. For the association, Captain Kevin Labelle, firefighters François Masse and Geoffrey White, on the employer side André Lacaille Human Resources, Mr. Jean-Paul Leduc, District Councilor 5 and the director of the fire department, Mr. Charles Ethier.

With a common goal of creating working relationships based on respect and professionalism, the negotiation process was carried out in close collaboration, demonstrating mutual trust and respect on both sides.

This agreement gives firefighters a salary catch-up and improves certain social benefits. This, while putting in place conditions so that they can work safely and effectively, in order to better serve its citizens.
