At its meeting of July 4, 2023, the municipal Council adopted a resolution to join the regroupement intermunicipal pour la gestion des matières résiduelles, along with the municipalities of La Pêche, Cantley and Val-des-Monts. This decision is part of a collective effort to modernize selective collection systems, in line with the new requirements introduced by the Quebec government in 2023. The aim is to optimize the management of residual materials on the territory.
As of February 4, 2025, compost, recycling and garbage bins will be collected by a truck equipped with a mechanized arm. This change will entail adjustments for residents, who will have to respect certain directives and modify their habits. Here are the main changes:
