Toxic and invasive plants collection day : 3 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Erratum: Please note that an error occurred in the 2018 municipal calendar concerning the hours of the collection.  Today's collection is between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. 

The Municipality is holding a toxic and invasive plants collection today between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Citizens are invited to pull out toxics and invasive plants from their backyards following the instructions on the website of the Municipality and bring them at the Municipal Garage (119 Scott Road) during the collection day. 

 

Invasive plants

** THE INVASIVE PLANTS BROUGHT FOR THE COLLECTION MUST BE IN A PAPER BAG OR THEY WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED**

Accepted invasive plants species are:

  • Japanese knotweed
  • Buckthorn
  • Ragweed (allergen)
  • Dog-strangling vine

 

Toxic plants

**ALL TOXIC PLANTS BROUGHT FOR THE COLLECTION MUST BE IN A BLACK PLASTIC BAG OR THEY WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED **

Accepted toxic plants species are:

  • Giant Hogweed
  • Wild Parsnip
  • Poison Ivy

 

Warning: These plants present a threat to your safety. Thus, it is important to consult the document «Technical datasheet - Invasive and toxics plants» for a list of personal protection gear and safe ways to remove the toxic plants.

**The Municipality reserves the right to refuse any plants drop-off not following the rules mentioned above **
