Draft by-law establishing property tax rates and fees for various services for the fiscal year 2025
The Council presents the draft by-law to set the terms and conditions for property tax rates and the pricing of various municipal services for the year 2025. The Council approves the tabling of the draft by-law and formal adoption will take place at a subsequent meeting. At this meeting, the tax rates for 2024 will be known.
Commitment to the Chelsea Housing Corporation in the event of emergency measures at the Farm Point senior citizens' residence
The Council undertakes to financially support the Chelsea Housing Corporation in the event of emergency measures at the Farm Point seniors' residence to rent a generator according to their needs until a permanent generator is installed.
Approval of the evaluation criteria grid for projects submitted to the Fonds vert
The Council has adopted the evaluation criteria grid for projects submitted to the Fonds vert 2025, submitted by the Environment, Sustainability and Climate Change Advisory Committee.
The Fonds vert is a financial and municipal program that supports citizens, local entrepreneurs and organizations in carrying out environmental, sustainable development and active transportation projects on the territory.
Analysis of the impacts of a change in the police force
Council mandates the municipal administration to ask the MRC des Collines-de-l'Outaouais Council of Mayors to conduct a complete cost and impact analysis of the possibility of replacing the current police force with that of the Sûreté du Québec.
Congratulations to Mr. Patrick Woodbury for winning the Prix Antoine-Desilets
The Council congratulates photographer Mr. Patrick Woodbury on winning the Prix Antoine-Désilets 2023 in the Sports category for his photograph entitled “Surfer la vague” at the annual gala of the Fédération professionnelle des journalistes du Québec.
Congratulations to Mr. Jean-Pierre Poulin elected Personality of the year
The Council congratulates Mr. Jean-Pierre Poulin for his many accomplishments and for receiving the prestigious Personality of the Year 2024 award, at the Prix Excelor ceremony held by the Chambre de commerce de Gatineau last November 16.
