Application for financial assistance from the federal government for the expansion of the drinking water filtration plant
By this resolution, the Council authorizes the submission of a request for financial assistance to Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada under the Canada Housing and Infrastructure Fund. This funding will be used for the expansion of the drinking water filtration plant located in the center-village sector.
Request to the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable for rehabilitation work on Chemin d'Old Chelsea
The Council formally requests that the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable du Québec quickly intervene to carry out the necessary repairs on Chemin d'Old Chelsea, ensuring everyone's safety.
Commitment of the Municipality to implement a first responder service in Chelsea
This Council confirms its commitment to the establishment of a first responder service and adopts the memorandum of understanding with the Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux de l'Outaouais upon signature.
Request to the MRC des Collines in connection with the Plan d’action en sécurité routière concerning photo radar on the territory
The Council adopted a resolution asking the MRC des Collines-de-l'Outaouais to submit a request to the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable in connection with the Plan d'action en sécurité routière, in order to benefit from photo radar for deployment in Chelsea.
Nomination of Route 105
The “local identity” theme proposed by the Recreation, Sports, Culture and Community Life Advisory Committee as a guideline for the naming of Route 105 is accepted by the Council. The next step is for the 150th committee to continue the public consultation process.
2025 project proposals presented to the Fonds vert
The Municipality of Chelsea agrees to provide financial support of the Fonds vert to the following projects in 2025:
Request for financial assistance from Services aux Aînés des Collines
From the 150th anniversary fund, the Council accepts the request for financial support submitted by Services aux Aînés des Collines for an amount totalling $1,500.00 to create a series of line dancing classes that will be accessible to individuals aged 60 and over, as well as their grandchildren.
Amendment to a by-law concerning the authorization of food trucks on private commercial property
The Council approved the amendment of a zoning by-law concerning the conditions for authorizing food trucks on private commercial property. The purpose of this by-law is to authorize food trucks only to properties located within an urbanization perimeter, in zones where the where restaurant use is authorized and outside road rights-of-way.
