Installation of signs announcing speed limit changes on a section of Route 105

At the ordinary Council meeting held on August 20, 2024, a modification to the speed limit was approved. This modification concerns a section of Route 105.

Signs will be installed on October 10, 2024, on Route 105 between Chemin Scott and Chemin Saint-Clément, to notify road users of the upcoming speed change.

The speed limit will be reduced from 70 km/h to 50 km/h at this location.

According to the law, these changes will come into effect 30 days after the installation of the advance notice signs.

Why change the speed limit?

These adjustments are in line with the "Mobility and Active Living" pillar of the Strategic Plan, which aims to create a safer and more accessible transportation network in Chelsea.
