New signage to come on Chemin de la Rivière at the intersection with Chemin Saint-Clément

May 3, 2024

At the ordinary Council meeting of February 6th, 2024, the municipal Council voted to install two mandatory stop signs on Chemin de la Rivière at the intersection with Chemin Saint-Clément. Once this change is in effect, it means that drivers will be required to make a full stop in all directions.

Following an analysis carried out as part of the Chemin de la Rivière rehabilitation project, the Public Works, Infrastructure, and Sustainable Mobility Department recommended the installation of two stop signs at this location.

This decision was taken to improve the safety of active transport users and motorists, as well as the traffic flow.

To ensure that all road users are aware of this modification, signage announcing the change was installed on April 30th, giving a 30 days' notice before the implementation of the new stops. The Municipality anticipates that the change will officially come into effect on May 30th, 2024.
